As so many different areas to take in, it’s worth checking back over your work to make sure you haven’t broken any of the requirements up to now. If you have and not noticed them, they could prevent you from finishing the design and therefore, not being paid.

Checklist to move on.
• Understanding the Brief – Investigated Customer Requirements and drawn Objective Tree ready to feed into QFD.
• Clarify Task and define Scope – Defined with the team what are relevant study areas and where the project stops.
• Flowchart existing problem – Drawn an flowchart to understand the current process(es) and defined faults.
• Form Constraints and Criteria – Defined the numerical limits to the project and drawn out from brief.
• Gantt Chart – Planned time effectively and continued to refine areas of study from Clarify Task and define Scope.
• QFD and Surveys – Considered how to form the ECs in response the Customer Requirements.
• Market Review – Looking at all areas below to define the Target Limits in the QFD.
• Related Technologies, Surveys, Benchmarking, Patents
• Governing BS/ISO/TUV/Ingress Protection (IP) rating requirements
• Ergonomic considerations
Once all of these areas are complete, you can move on to form the PDS.
